How much notice do you need?
The early bird gets the worm!
If you have a specific moving date the earlier the better to call. Recommended to call 4-6 weeks prior of moving date.
When is the best time of year to move?
The most popular time of year to move is between Memorial Day and Labor Day.
The best time of year to move is when it is convenient and fits your needs. Remember most moving companies do not move on major holidays and not all weekends! Any time of year is a “good” time to move with proper and punctual timing!
What moving insurance is provided?
The amount of insurance coverage automatically provided is based on the weight of each item. Currently, government regulations have set this automatic coverage at the rate of 60 cents per pound per item. Additional insurance can be added at the rate of $10.00 for every $1000 of declared value.
Are there items that will not or cannot be moved?
Yes. We do not move any of the following:
- any hazardous waste as defined in Wis. Admin. Code § NR 661.03; any highly flammable substance
- any item that it is prohibited from moving by Wisconsin or federal law
- any important personal documents or papers, such as birth certificates, passports and anything of sentimental value;
- and any cash, stocks, negotiable instruments, etc.
Do you have hired staff?
Yes, we hire and train only the most qualified and professional movers. We also take great pride in our courteous and friendly office staff.
Can I leave my clothes in the dresser drawers?
Movers prefer the items to be packed in separate boxes. If the movers find the dresser to be too heavy with the items left in the drawers they will take the drawers out, move the shell, and replace the drawers back in there place once in the moving truck.
Do you put down floor protection?
Yes, we treat your home like our home. All of your carpet, wood, and tiles flooring will be properly protected before any items are moved in.
Can we take apart beds and other furniture?
Of course, please remember if the customer disassembles any items we will not put them back together for we did not take them apart. If you choose not to disassemble any items we will do this and put them back together since we know how they came apart.
Do they take lunch breaks or smoke breaks?
No, we believe in being professional and fast!
The crews prefer to eat on the go, so they can complete your move in a timely manner as well as them enjoying their time at home with family at the end of the day.
Will you disconnect and reconnect washers, dryers and dishwashers?
Sorry, but we can not. It is a liability issue therefore we will not disconnect or reconnect washers, dryers or dishwashers.
